Global Action Team

Supporting our clubs to grow, develop leaders and strengthen their service.

The Global Action Team, or GAT, brings together key areas of Lions to support clubs across District 105SW. Working alongside the District Governor, the team helps clubs develop membership, establish new clubs, develop future leaders and increase the impact of their service.

Global Extension Team - GET

Trevor Munro

Helping identify opportunities to establish new Lions clubs and extend Lions service into communities where there is currently no club.

Supporting leadership development, officer training and learning opportunities for Lions and Leos across the District.

Global Service Team - GST

Ann Whitehouse

Helping clubs develop effective service projects, make use of Lions resources and increase the impact of the work they carry out in their communities.

MISSION 1.5

The Global Action Team also supports MISSION 1.5, Lions International’s worldwide membership initiative to reach 1.5 million members by 1 July 2027.

For District 105SW, this means supporting existing clubs to grow, retaining members, finding new ways for people to become involved and looking for opportunities to establish Lions clubs in new communities.
