  • Supporting initiatives that provide counselling or wellbeing services

  • Partnering with local organisations to raise awareness of mental health challenges

  • Providing safe, supportive environments through community activities

Mental health and Wellbeing

Mental health and wellbeing are essential to the health of our communities, and Lions clubs across District 105SW are committed to helping address the growing challenges many people face. Through community projects, fundraising initiatives, and partnerships with local organisations, Lions aim to promote positive wellbeing and reduce the stigma often associated with mental health. Clubs support initiatives that bring people together, combat loneliness, and provide access to resources and support networks. Whether through community events, awareness campaigns, or supporting charities that specialise in mental health services, Lions volunteers work to create welcoming environments where people can connect, talk openly, and feel supported. Across Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, Dorset, Wiltshire, Gloucestershire and the Bristol area, these efforts help strengthen communities and remind people that they are not alone
