In 1972 Lions declared that they would foster and promote the preservation and improvement of the human environment, for the benefit of all the people for their posterity.
In this our Centennial year, we have been challenged to participate in the
“Protecting Our Environment” Global Service Action Campaign
- Has your Club promoted recycling initiatives?
- Has your community benefited from bulb or tree planting?
- Has your community benefited from a litter pick or a clean-up?
- Has your community an area which has benefited from landscaping?
Your Environment needs you! Get involved and show them that we CAN make a difference and that Lions Care.
Each year a trophy is awarded at Convention to the Club who has been deemed to have carried out the best Environmental Project within the District
This competition is open to all Lions Clubs, so this year let us know how you have made a difference to your community.
Remember these of the projects can also count towards the Centennial Challenges, so mention these on the Monthly
Activities Report , filed with MyLCI
Simply create a document of your project preferably with pictures, and say why and how you did it.
Explain how this has made a difference to your local community.
Send this to: PDG Lion Christine Rowe, 17 Penn Kernow, Launceston, PL15 9TN to arrive by 31st January 2018
